Christian X. M. McGhee is a 23 year old multi-instrumentalist and film composer from St. Louis, Missouri. He did his undergrad at Manhattan School of Music and is currently attending grad school there as well! In High School he was a member of nearly every honor band for jazz - The Grammy Band, Vail Jazz Workshop, Next Generation Jazz Orchestra, Jazz Band of America, & the Jazz St. Louis All Stars. 

 

Some of the groups/artists he has worked with is J’Nai Bridges, Joshua Redman, Aaron Goldberg, Sasha Berliner, Joe Block, Victory Boyd, Keyon Harrold, Gideon King and City Blog and has played at Carnegie Hall (Kurt Weill Recital Hall), NPR Tiny Desk (Home), Vail, Newport, Montreal, Monterey, Toronto, Rochester, DC Jazz festivals and can be seen playing locally around NYC. When he's not gigging, he is composing music. This year he is film scoring a PBS Documentary, a short film for Adobe and a couple indie films.
