Thomas Linger, New York based pianist, originally hails from Waynesville, NC.  First place winner of the American Jazz Pianist Competition, and current 2023 American Pianist Awards finalist, he is a performer, composer, and teacher, performing in many of NYC's top venues from The Village Vanguard, Lincoln Center Out of Doors, Dizzy's Club, to Smalls, Mezzrow, and many more.

 

Thomas leads his own band in addition to engagements alongside current luminaries such as Peter Bernstein, Peter Washington, Joe Farnsworth, Francisco Mela, and many others.  Thomas's debut album Out In It released on the Cellar Music label in 2022 and features many of his original compositions.
